Aubyn de Lisle

Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist
Professional supervision

I provide counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of problems and blocks and use psychotherapy for growth and life’s enhancement. I work with sensitivity and respect together with you to offer help in the face of particular problems or the most prolonged and intense difficulties.

How therapy looks depends on what you bring.  We might start with the here and now on your present issue, or focus predominantly on early life development and experiences;  existential difficulties (connected with life’s inevitable ending and meaning); transformation and growth; or looking at how we interact, react and respond in relationship with others – whether that is in your personal life or at work.  The heart of therapy will be the therapeutic relationship and the non judgemental space in which to explore what troubles you.

For example some issues I deal with are:

Stress and anxiety
Addiction
Problems with confidence, self-esteem
Relationships
Dealing with loss
Depression
Family and parenting difficulties
Problems at work
Eating disorders, self harm
Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress
Unresolved issues from the past, abuse
Dreams and nightmares

I work both short term and long term within a time framework agreed with you, regularly reviewed as we go along.

People have described me as a counsellor having: “extraordinary clarity of insight”, “very grounded”, “real integrity”, “a refuge”, “helps people progress”, “reassuring”, “inspiring”, “exceptional wisdom”, “safe”, “gentle humour”, “adds an extra dimension of spirituality”.

Fees:  I charge £70 per 50 minute session.

Qualifications:  Accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy, and on the BACP accredited register.  Post graduate Diploma and Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE), currently completing certification course in Supervision for Individuals and Groups (CCPE).

For many years I had a career as a senior manager in multinational business, and have also been involved in small business enterprise as an employer, and in farming. I graduated with a BA Hons in English Literature from Exeter University in 1981. I qualified with a PGCE (1997) as a teacher at secondary level. I lived for extended periods in several countries.

I abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics & BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am subject to both the UKCP & BACP Professional Conduct Procedures.
