Counselling, Talking and Art Therapy

I work with what is on your mind, difficult thoughts and how you are feeling.

Anxiety, sadness, stress, anger, relationship difficulties, depression, loneliness, loss, a desire for change.

Covid-19

During these uncertain and changed times, life can feel, off-kilter, overwhelming and lonely. There is help available to you via telephone or video therapy. Where it is possible to share thoughts and feelings safely and confidentially with a trained therapist, who will listen carefully to help support you. Offering an important space to make sense of the challenges you may be experiencing. This can help lower anxiety, help you to feel re-connected and listened to, all of which can further support mental health and wellbeing.

At first it may seem strange, not meeting face to face, but with most situations this too has its gains and losses. It is surprising how remote therapy can still offer effective support. As with previous face to face therapy, finding the right therapist for you can take time and you can make an appointment to meet through telephone or video call. You can then decide if you wish to continue with weekly sessions or not. There is no obligation.

What you need: A telephone or online device. A private undisturbed space for the therapy session, which is unlikely to be disturbed. Making sure there are no other electronic devices such as, ‘Amazon Alexsa’ or ‘Echo’. These are recording devices which could compromise your confidentiality. I work via, Telephone, Zoom, Facetime, WhatsApp.

Our relationship with ourselves and how we think about ourselves can be complicated and affect the way we respond to life and our relationships with others. We can feel stuck, even trapped in cycles of behaviour. It can then be difficult to be hopeful and imagine change.

Taking the first steps with an experienced professional therapist can help us to become unstuck, offer clarity and deepen self-awareness, developing inner stability and a more satisfying, authentic way to live our lives.

Qualifications:

Art Psychotherapy Masters London Goldsmiths University. BA (Hons) Fine Art Bachelor’s degree London Guildhall University. I am a state registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council HCPC. The HCPC is the statutory regulator for health and care professions. I meet HCPC standards, in continuing professional development (CPD). I am also a full member of the British Association of Art Therapy BAAT and I subscribe to the HCPC and BAAT codes of ethics for best practice.

Fees: I charge £65 for a 50 minute session.
The initial meeting is £70 and is 60 minutes long. I also offer reduced rates.
