    Florence Marston

    Psychotherapist

Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem or have a history of trauma?

If you feel the time has come to seek support, I offer a safe space for you to explore your suffering in a warm, non-judgmental and confidential environment. My aim is to help you understand, accept and trust yourself, and ultimately, recognise that you have the resources to manage life’s difficulties and uncertainties.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I don’t believe that one therapeutic approach can help everyone, so I take care to work with you in a way that best fits your unique personality and needs. Generally though, the work we will do together will tend to involve a combination of focusing on current issues, examining the past and processing difficult emotions so that they become less cumbersome. Often, our current struggles come from the emotional injuries we sustained earlier in life and these need careful and gentle attention so that healing can happen.

    My qualifications and experience
I hold a Clinical Diploma and a Master of Science degree in Integrative Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute and I am UKCP-registered Psychotherapist (registration no 2011185525).

I have experience both in private practice and as part of the NHS Mental Health Network. The clients who come to see me suffer from a wide range of emotional issues, from the difficulties of everyday life all the way to severe mental health distress, including trauma and mental health diagnoses. I also work with people from different racial, social and cultural backgrounds and offer therapy both in English and in French.

My 5-year clinical and academic training required me to be in therapy myself, so I know what it feels like to sit in the client’s chair. Although difficult at times, I found the experience profoundly rewarding and I hope I can help you have a similar experience.
If you are ready to take your first step or have any questions regarding how therapy could help you, I offer a 20-minute free phone consultation. If you are going through difficult times, I hope you’ll reach out.
